DD/Nombre 3
Its bank holiday coming up so put your feet up for 5 min, read the Digest and Digi up.
1. Royal Shakespeare Company - I thought this was a lovely idea by the RSC to get the yoof of today interested in the old Bard himself. It follows the key characters in Romeo+Juliet playing out their tragic lives on Twitter no less. Each character has over 3k followers each, so its really successful. Thats an idea.

2. Airspace rebooted - The one thing about digital is the lovely way you can visualise the most trivial things to gain some sort of insight. Airspace rebooted has taken the 'Ash' zeitgeist and mapped out European airspace over the past few weeks. Just goes to show just how busy our airspace is and thus how much pollution air travel produces. Would have been a nice to see how many tonnes of carbon was saved.

3. Easy Jet Holiday Planner - Aaahhh, (sl)EasyJet, love em or hate em, they will be a constant in our lives it seems. They have developed a holiday planner app which helps you plan your holiday in a Facebook app, which you can then share with your friends. They plan to allow users to actually purchase tickets through the app at some stage. Begins to question the need for websites in the future with so many people spending ever more hours in social networks.

4. Mobile payment systems - Dont you hate it when a mate who owes you money says they will pay you back next time cos they dont have cash? Well it seems that might not be a problem anymore with new mobile payment systems. This article outlays the different systems allowing you to collect payment through your mobile phone. Just swipe your card through a simply attachment to your iPhone. Ace.

Digital Digest/Numero 2
Yes, its Friday, AND its the Digital Digest/Numero 2. Bonus!
Here are the weeks top shiny things.
1. Webby awards - the Webby awards are upon us and I have chosen some of the finest banner entrants (god bless the simple banner) for a bit of fun.
Al Jezeera - nothing like using the rollover to complete the picture. Kind of reminds of the classic Guardian ad, often hailed as one of the most classic campaigns ever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3h-T3KQNxU

Pringles - this actually made the rounds last year but its so good and irreverent its here again! Sometimes not being so serious about advertising is goooood.

US Cellular - taking a popular cultural phenomenon like Guitar Hero and skinning it is a clever tactic which clearly works.

Prius - absolutely love this. simple engagement done in such a lovely personal way. I'm sure many a rude picture was drawn, but it gets the point across.

2. First ever Youtube Video - Its Yootoobs 5th birthday today and as a nod to its mega behemoth influence on current culture, here is the first ever video, accompanied the most stupid person ever to grace Yootoob.

3. Nike Music Shoe - Nike must be the one brand to constantly innovate on every front (it helps having billions to spend) and Nike Music Shoe from Japan is no different. The concept is interesting in itself, but I actually love the finer points like the touchpoints at the bottom of the site. Having a QR code to download the music for your mobile is one of the first I've ever seen. Then again, the Japanese are huge on QR codes, much more than the UK so it probably feels right for them. But little touches like this shows they truly understand digital culture.

4. Ford My Ford Touch - off the back of Fiat's EcoDrive (http://www.fiat.co.uk/ecoDrive/)success, Ford have taken it a step further by having a realtime satnav in the car giving you the 'greenest route' possible.

Ignorance
on my part! havent updated in aages. ive started a new work Digest called Digital Digest/No.
so heres the first one
So here are this weeks top stories.
1. Dulux Lets Colour Project - Dulux have moved away from an advertising heavy strategy and have now focused on content creation to then feed into traditional advertising channels. They have decided to promote urban regeneration in poor areas of the world (think India and the Favelas of Brazil) through the use of colour. Im sure you will agree the results are quite impactful and the colour will certainly add to a somewhat cheerier landscape.

2. Colorectal Cancer association of Canada - What?! you may think. Yes, colorectal cancer is a lesser known cancer and so has a slightly bigger job to do to gain awareness in the face of breast, prostate cancer etc. Ogilvy have come up with a clever use of FB where you post 'your butt' on FB through this site. A much more cost efficient way of cutting through when you have lower budgets and have other bigger spenders drowning you out. Its fun, fresh and will certainly generate some conversation. job done.

3. Nike Grid - Nike are pretty infamous in delivering exciting digital projects (think Nike ID etc) and Nike Grid seems like a new type of digital innovation. It encourages runners to find Nike Grid phoneboxes in their borough and when they do, they must dial in using their unique ID code which they get when they register online. The more times you check in, the more points you win which allows you to become champion of your borough. (think Foursquare type game). The purpose of this campaign was to eliminate using fancy gadgets (Nike +/iPhone apps) and get back to the basics of running.
The idea seems innovative enough, but I think that they could have certainly pushed this concept a bit further. RFID tags anyone?

4. Dominos selling widget - Dominos understand the power of the people. What better to demonstrate it than paying them for helping sell Domino pizzas? Enter the Dominos widget which users can install on their websites/blogs etc. Every time someone purchases a pizza through the widget on your site, you are rewarded 0.5% of every purchase. score.

5. iPad fever - Blendtec has been a legendary case study in the viral side of things. New exciting product comes out - lets see if a Blendtec blender will blend it. 5m views later? Simple.
